Hi Mike – I normally budget for around £20 per film for processing and initial med res scan although this lab http://www.digitalab.co.uk/process.html does it for around £12 and the results are very good – if I then send back for an individual frame scan its much more expensive

This one is also good – 24mb TIFF for under £20

Thanks for the compliment re Leica – great lenses – and they are there with the M9 but the Fuji X series (especially the X Pro 1) look very good

But why use a Velvia simulation with a portrait? I would prefer less contrast, more continuous tones and less background noise using standard (Provia) simulation. But even so I believe the comparison being like between a Golf and a top German Merc or Audi is quite interesting and the small X10 gives very good results.

x10 is good though.. showing vibrant colors as well. Dont know why canon is showing dull colors here.
